About DnDIdeas.com

"Players don't want you to tell them a story. They want to tell a story with you." — Brennan Lee Mulligan, Dimension 20

I have always loved playing Dungeons & Dragons. It is one of my greatest creative outlets in life.

I have been playing for literally 40 years, going all the way back to when 1st Edition was simply the edition. Over those years, I have also enjoyed many other role-playing games, including Star Frontiers, Car Wars, GURPS, Star Wars, and Doctor Who, just to name a few.

I know what THAC0 is—and why, at the time, it was actually a breakthrough in simplification. I know the seventh ability score. I was there for the glory days of Dragon Magazine. In other words, I have been around this hobby for a while.

There have been countless changes over the years, not only to D&D but to tabletop role-playing games as a whole and to the ideas behind how they are designed and played. From the days of the Satanic Panic to today's golden age of TTRPGs and their growing mainstream acceptance, it never ceases to amaze me where this hobby goes next.

But for me, at its core, D&D has always been about creativity—the freedom to imagine, develop, build, and explore something that did not exist before.

One of my favorite parts of that creativity is worldbuilding, and this site is my outlet for it.

Through my skills with WordPress and my knowledge of AI—yes, I know AI has a complicated reputation in the TTRPG community—I am able to turn my ideas into something usable much more quickly. I still provide the creative direction, characters, concepts, history, and vision; AI simply helps me accomplish in hours what might otherwise take days.

My hope is to create a world that my players genuinely enjoy exploring, adventuring through, and helping shape along the way.

And with that, I present it to you: the world, the adventures, the characters, the victories, the disasters, and the campaign notes as we go.

Well met, and merry more!
