Sister Elowyn — High Priestess of the Temple of the Dawn
Sister Elowyn is the half-elven high priestess of Grayhaven’s Temple of the Dawn and one of the most widely respected figures in the town. Gentle in manner and deliberate in speech, she has a gift for making frightened people feel heard without offering false assurances. Elowyn teaches that the dawn represents more than the rising sun—it is the promise that darkness eventually passes and that every person deserves the opportunity to begin again. Merchants, guards, laborers, adventurers, and even some of Grayhaven’s less respectable residents have sought her counsel over the years, confident that she will listen before passing judgment.
The Temple of the Dawn maintains a small infirmary under Elowyn’s direction, where those unable to afford healing are treated without charge. The practice places a constant strain on the temple’s donations and supplies, but Elowyn has never permitted a lack of coin to determine who receives her aid. She can frequently be found personally tending wounds, comforting grieving families, blessing travelers before dangerous journeys, or walking Grayhaven’s poorer districts to check upon residents who cannot reach the temple themselves. Among the townsfolk, it is commonly said that Captain Thornshield protects Grayhaven’s walls, but Sister Elowyn protects the people within them.
